Life's stepping stones

I remembered...

I remembered my other two "fav" shoutouts!

1. I am addicted to Amazon. Well, addicted is a strong word, but I went to 2 stores today where I didn't find what I really wanted, nor for the price I wanted. I quickly returned to my car and decided to just order it from Amazon. I'm currently a Prime member, from buying diapers, and 2-day shipping is free.

2. Our new washer and dryer is a BIG savings for us! I can't say I see the exact impact on our utilities because we don't really have a comparison from before at this location. However, I guarantee I am doing fewer loads of laundry, requiring less of my time! And, that also means I'm using less detergent! Laundry doesn't feel nearly as daunting as it once did!

Personal Favorites/Trends

This is a bit of a summary/snapshot post to share a few recent findings and behaviors in our day-to-day life.

I subscribed to Netflix for Valentine's Day for John. We are really enjoying it so far! The streaming video works really well for the boys AND I have found a great way to diversify exercising and try out different workouts. My new favorite is the 10 Minutue Carb Burner. There are 5 - 10 minute workouts, which go rather quickly. I didn't do them all yet, but really liked the ones I did do. I also tried out a yoga video. I'm not sure that is really my thing. Holding my entire body up on my shoulders and neck wasn't too comfortable, nor did I feel like I was getting that great of a workout.

The new Penzey's catalog arrived this week and I was delighted to notice that there are recipes in this catalog. I'm looking forward to trying out Mexican stuffed shells this weekend. On that note, I'm doing my best to explore recipes and find easy, healthy, affordable meals for our family. I'm feeling so domestic....

Oh, I don't want to forget this little product plug, especially for those of you on WW points. We LOVE Sandwich and Bagel thins! Only 1 (old) WW point and great for breakfast or lunch.

I am having a bit of a struggle in my spiritual/church life right now. At the end of January our minister retired. An interim has been seated, but he's very different in his approach. He has a booming voice and I find myself somewhat exhausted after a service. I know a church is not just the minister, but she was a BIG reason that we chose our current church. I don't know that we will be church shopping any time soon, but this is not the perfect fit we once had.

When I contemplated this post, I know there was more to post here, but that's all that's coming to mind. Maybe there will be a sequel if I remember the other items.
