A message from my boss
As I am leaving work last night with my boss, she says, "I certainly hope you can take a day off next week given all the extra hours you are putting in...."
Hmm....does she think I seem burned out or does she want to be sure I'm rewarding myself for a job well done? She's going to visit her parents in California for a few days and the second in command is in China. Therefore, things may sit still for a bit anyways.
After stewing about that very thing, I decided she was somewhat right, regardless of her motivation for saying it. I'm going to take Monday afternoon off to run some errands, do homework and get a grip in some of the other parts of my life. This will also make my weekend less chaotic, as I would be obsessing about getting ALL my homework done, which is virtually impossible, given other commitments.

Dude, you need to take a 1/2 day off for YOU time, too!!! 1/2 day for school and errands is one thing...but what about knocking off early to go get a massage or a pedicure?? :) I saw a great quote today...something about how we spend our lives trying to brace ourselves for the next storm, but really we need to learn how to DANCE IN THE RAIN. Love it. Love it. I'm going to dance now...worrying is for the BIRDS! :) XOXO -- and tell me when you book some spa time! Take a break, you've been thinking in overdrive lately. :) :)
